Walk of a Lifetime is St. Andrew’s Autism Centre’s inaugural charity walk in support of persons with autism. This is SAAC’s first charity walk in 18 years of operation and is open to all members of the public.
Join us in a 5km fun walk together with SAAC’s students, clients and residents. Look forward to exciting activities like Best Dressed Awards, Autism Awareness booths, and many more!
All proceeds will go toward funding the various programmes and services at our special education school, day activity centres and residential home to support persons with autism and their families.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Alight at Potong Pasir MRT Station and take Exit C.
At street level, take Bus 142 at the bus stop 60621 (you will see Old Chang Kee).

When is Walk of a Lifetime 2023?

What is Walk of a Lifetime all about?
Walk of a Lifetime is organised by St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC) in support of persons with autism. All registration fees and donations collected from this event will go towards supporting SAAC’s programmes.
What does St. Andrew’s Autism Centre do?
St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC) is Singapore’s only social service agency offering lifespan support to individuals with autism. We currently serve over 450 persons with autism through our special education school, day activity centres, and Singapore’s first residential home designed for persons with autism. When can I register for the event?
Registration opens on 1 July and closes on 12 Oct 2023, 2359hrs. You may register here.
Who can participate?
Participants of all ages are welcome to register for Walk of a Lifetime 2023. Children below 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or above.

Is Walk of a Lifetime a timed race?
Walk of a Lifetime is designed to be a fun event in support of persons with autism, and we will not be recording your timings.
REGISTRATION
How do I know if my registration is successful?
You will receive an email confirmation upon successful registration.
Do check your junk mail folder if you do not see the emails in your inbox. Please contact us at walkofalifetime@saac.org.sg if you do not receive them within three working days of registration.
I have purchased my ticket. What next?
Once you have completed the checkout process, you will receive an automatic email that contains ticket download links. By clicking on that link, a ticket will be rendered to PDF file format and you will be able to download it.
Each ticket contains unique QR code which you will use to sign in on the event day. You can either print it and bring it with you to the event, or you can show the digital version on your mobile device.
Is the registration fee tax deductible?
Registration fees for the walk are not tax deductible. 100% of the registration fees will be channeled to St. Andrew’s Autism Centre.
Can I get a refund if I cannot show up for the event?
All registration fees are strictly non-refundable.
Is my event ticket transferable?
Your ticket is strictly non-transferable.
PARTICIPANT QUERIES
What are the sizes of the participants’ tee?
You may refer to the size chart here.
How do I collect my event T-shirt?
Your T-shirt will be given to you with other items in a goodie bag which you will collect on the event day on 14th October 2023.
Can I exchange my tee if I selected the wrong size?
Size selection is made during registration. Unfortunately, no exchange can be made once registration is completed.
You are advised to select sizing carefully using our size chart.
How do I check my total distance or the leaderboard?

Can I bring pets to the event venue?
Bringing pets along is not advisable.
Are strollers allowed?
Due to the expected crowd size on the day of the event, we do not advise you to bring strollers.
TEAM EVENTS
How may I check on donations that I or my team have raised and the people who have supported me?
You can view the amount you have raised on your profile or your team’s profile page the total donation amount that you or your team have raised and all your supporters will be shown on the page.
If I am unable to complete my goal, what will happen to the donations that I have raised?
It is alright if you do not complete your challenge. All donations raised during the campaign period will still be channeled to St. Andrew’s Autism Centre. No refunds of donations will be made even if challenges are incomplete.
I made a contribution towards a participant/ team. Where does it go?
All monetary contributions will be channeled to St. Andrew’s Autism Centre. They will help fund various programmes at our special education school, day activity centres, and residential home to support persons with autism and their families.

I am unable to participate in Walk of a Lifetime. May I donate instead?
Yes you may! To do so, visit Walk of a Lifetime’s campaign page on Giving.sg.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. St. Andrew’s Autism Centre is a service of St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH), an IPC and a recipient of the Charity Transparency Award 2022. All donations made to St. Andrew’s Autism Centre are eligible for tax deductions of 2.5 times of the qualifying donation amount.
How do I receive tax deduction on my donation?
If you wish to receive tax deduction, kindly include your full name, NRIC/FIN/UEN in the donation page. Your donation details will be provided directly to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and the donation deductions will be included automatically in your individual tax assessment.
Will I receive my tax-deductible receipt?
Yes. All Tax Deductible Receipts, with full residential address, will be mailed to you after your donation We will submit your tax deduction to IRAS as long as valid FULL NRIC No./FIN/UEN is provided when making the donation.
Is GST included?
GST is not chargeable on donations.
When is the online donation period?
We are accepting donations on this website (walkofalifetime.sg) from 1 July to 31 October 2023.
